CYCLIST NUMBER ONE

I have just had an email from Cyclist No 1 that they have published my story of The West Highland Way Double on their site. You can go to the link from this site and it is under Features or you can search my name. Please let me know if you like the story or leave a comment. I feel honoured they have picked up on the story and felt it was worth publishing         Cheers.

TUBE MUD GUARD

Cut a short length of inner tube a bit longer than what you need, trim it straight up the middle.
Cut a slot in one end, enough away from the end so it can wrap around the fork brace, keep the cuts smooth.
Try it for size and draw where you need to cut.
Hold the tabs around the back of the forks and zip tie together.Finished article looks ok and works, cheaper than a shop bought one and greener too. This is one I have used but there are many ways it can be done, I always use a CRUD CATCHER front mudguard aswell as downtube and rear mudguard. Period!

DING STOPPER

Do you ever get paranoid about rocks belting the living daylights
out of your downtube? Are you a bit precious about your new
paintwork or light weight carbon frame? Just chop a piece of
tyre and tie wrap it to your donwtube, It's perfect for trips to the
Peak District or even the Alps, and you can share a tyre with your
mates, It doesn't have to be a new one, use an old skidder.
