Do you ever get paranoid about rocks belting the living daylights
out of your downtube? Are you a bit precious about your new
paintwork or light weight carbon frame? Just chop a piece of
tyre and tie wrap it to your donwtube, It's perfect for trips to the
Peak District or even the Alps, and you can share a tyre with your
mates, It doesn't have to be a new one, use an old skidder.
What a fantastic and really simple solution! Wish I'd known about it before taking a chunk out of my Santa Cruz Bronson C down tube! Will Definately use next time.
